Allison and Matt Wedding - May 21, 2011 - Lancaster, PA

After about 2 weeks straight of rainy days in central PA (and us scrambling for a rain plan for photos) the sun decided to come out and give us a gorgeous day this past Saturday.  We were in Lancaster county at Historic St. Mary's and Lime Spring Farm for Allison and Matt's wedding.  We had previewed the sites a few months ago while visiting family in the area and doing their engagement session and had been excited to shoot there ever since.  The day certainly didn't let us down and hopefully the photos live up to our, and more importantly their, expectations.

On a personal note Allison is an old friend of mine from High School and I had the opportunity to see some others that I hadn't seen in over a decade.  One of Allison's bridesmaids was even my prom date!  Andrea and I were busy shooting most of the time so I didn't have much of a chance to catch up, but nevertheless it was fun to see some familiar faces.

Overall, it was a beautiful day with a great couple at two fantastic venues.  What more could a photographer ask for?! - Joel

Erin - Senior Studio Session

Say hello to Erin, number "six" of J&A Photography's senior reps and a prom-pretty diva to boot!  Actually she's quite nice and doesn't act like a diva at all, but she wears her prom gown like it was made for her!  On this rainy day, we went from a more glamorous look to a laid back edgy style during Erin's photo session.  I've been wanting to use these british boxes that we found for the longest time and thought we would try it out with Erin.  Now I think I love those british boxes even more!  Job well done, Miss Erin, and we even got to hang a bit while Joel and little Emelia helped changed background scenes.  Well Emelia didn't help, but I'm sure, like all spunky toddlers, she was entertaining to our lovely guest.  -  Andrea  : )
