Katie - Vogue Session

Once again Miss Katie Shope shines!  This week she romances us with this vintage-inspired look.  Being a big fan of Marie Antoinette, Katie felt very comfortable wearing a birdcage feathered veil and long black tutu....24 yards of tulle might I add!  So comfortable that she said, "But I don't want to take it off.."  As much as I wanted to give it to her, eventually she had to turn over the corset and tutu.  Well, at least she'll always have the photographs.  As always Katie, beautifully done.  - Andrea

Katie - Beauty Portraits

Meet Katie Shope:  Sweet girl-next-door animal lover by day...glitter goddess by night!  I've known this dark-haired beauty for some time now and recently asked her to be a model for some portfolio shots.  Being an art lover herself, she quickly agreed and brought lots of high energy and creativity to the shoot.  Unfortunately right before her photographic debut, one of our backdrops unexpectedly came crashing down from the ceiling!  Yikes...not something we normally do during a session!  Needless to say we were "a little" surprised, but that didn't stop Katie's vogue moves, the giggles, glitter bursts, and ultimately some great shots.  Check back later in the upcoming weeks for some more photos of Katie.  : ) - Andrea

Allison and Matt - Engagement Session in Lancaster

Allison and Matt will be married this May in downtown Lancaster, PA at beautiful St. Mary's Cathedral with the reception to follow at equally beautiful  Lime Spring Farm.  We met with them this past weekend at the farm to preview the reception location and then to do some engagement photos.  While Allison and I did both grow up in the Lancaster area we were a bit unsure of where we were going to do the session.  Andrea and I agreed right away that the farm was going to look much, much better once spring hit - deciding we should save it for the wedding photos and that somewhere with a more urban look might be a fun change of pace from the farm.  So, still without a clear idea of where we were headed we drove downtown and began looking for spots.  Our search started at F&M campus and ended up somewhere near center city (I couldn't even tell you where exactly).  We wondered around for a bit finding some cool spots and in between dodging traffic and cat calls from random passers-by were able to get some really unique shots!  -  Joel

Brandi - Dance Portraits

Mrs. Brandi Robinson, a.k.a. Ballerina Diva, came over to the studio last night.  She is a former bride of ours and very devoted friend.  She eagerly agreed to be a test model for a new style of photography/fantasy session (available soon).  After all the hair pulling, eye lash enhancements, and costume changes, a diva was born!  Actually, we laughed every time I applied the eyeliner to her eyes...and I quote, "It looks like you are coming at my eyes with a scalpel!"  Maybe she wasn't at her most comfortable during the make-up session, but she sure made up for it doing the photo shoot.  For it being a practice session, I think we managed to pull out some pretty nice photos.  Who knew we would unlock this sultry ballerina during our session! - Andrea

This was a light test shot, but we really liked her look and pose.

Heather and Matt engagement session

Heather and Matt had been trying to coordinate a time with us to do their engagement session since before winter came around.  After the leaves fell they were a bit hesitant to do any photos thinking things would look too dead - so, they decided to wait for snow.  Many snows came and went and things just never worked out.  Finally, resigned to the idea of mediocre winter scenes, they went ahead and scheduled for Monday.  Well, to our surprise (and just about everyone else's in central PA) we got hit with about 7"+ of snow on Sunday night, making for a gorgeous setting for some fun shots.
