Kiyah Sue - Newborn Session

You may recognize Laurie and Neil from here when we did their maternity session last month.  Well, the baby is here and it was time for her newborn session.  Kiyah Sue was born on January 6, weighing in at 6 lbs 7.5 ounces and measuring 20 inches long.  We started the session Tuesday evening at 5:00 with mixed results.  Newborn sessions are always unpredictable, at best, but miss Kiyah REALLY didn't want to cooperate.  We did get a few great shots near the end but we felt the time of day was not right and we could do better.

So, back the three came the next afternoon, hoping Kiyah would be in a better mood.  She was still a difficult little girl but much, much sleepier and easier to work with.  She did keep it interesting though, peeing and pooping on just about every baby prop we own, not to mention the explosive blowout she dropped on dear old dad (way to take it like a man Neil)!  All in all, she really made us work for it but we got some great shots - what a cutie!

Heather and Greg engagement session

Heather and Greg are getting married at the end of next month so we didn't really have the luxury of waiting for warmer, greener days.  So, we went to Heather's family farm in Rebersburg planning to shoot inside the barn if it was too cold to be outside.  It definitely was cold but we all sucked it up and went out around the farm and got some great shots!

Caitlin and Fiona Are One!

We've known Caitlin and Fiona for their whole lives since they share the same exact birthday as our little Emelia.  In fact, Andrea went into rapid labor and ended up stealing Kristin's delivery room at the hospital.  We photographed them as newborns and it's hard to believe how much they've grown and that they are a year old already!  We had a really fun shoot with them, especially watching them go to town on their birthday cakes!

Caitlin definitely tried to steal the show from her sister.

They were about all smiled out by this point.

A little cake with a lot of sugar in it brought them back to life!

Fiona dug right in with no hesitation.

Caitlin took a bit longer but once she got started there was no stopping her.
